Festive Lasagne Swirls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Italian sausage links
    2 (6 oz. size) cans Italian tomato paste
    2 c. water
    1/4 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 (16 oz.) carton Ricotta or cottage cheese
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    1 tsp. each: dry basil and oregano leaves
    8 lasagne noodles, cooked and drained
    1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
    chopped parsley
Preparation
    Remove sausage from casings; crumble.
    In large skillet, cook sausage; drain excess fat.
    Add next 4 ingredients.
    Simmer, covered, about 5 minutes.
