Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pie shells, baked
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. water
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. strawberry gelatin
1 tsp. vanilla
1 or 2 drops food coloring (red)
4 c. fresh strawberries
Preparation

Mix sugar, water, cornstarch and salt in pot and cook, stirring until thickened.
Add gelatin, vanilla and red coloring to first mixture.
Allow to cool.
Fold in 4 cups of fresh strawberries.
Pour into pie shells that have been dusted with powdered sugar to prevent sogginess.
Chill.
Serve with whipped topping.
