Ingredients

2 c. chopped onion
1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. parsley flakes
1 Tbsp. sage
1 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
16 oz. dry bread cubes
1 egg
2 c. chicken broth (or canned broth)
Preparation

Melt butter in pan over medium heat.
Add onions and cook until tender.
Add next six ingredients and cook about 5 minutes.
Put bread into large bowl and toss with the hot mixture.
Beat egg, add to chicken broth and mix into bread cubes.
Shape into 2-inch balls and place on buttered cookie sheet.
Bake uncovered about 20 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Makes about 30 balls.
