Surprise Meringues - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Beat egg whites, vanilla, salt and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add the sugar, beating until peaks are stiff. Fold in the chocolate chips and the nuts.
    Cover cookie sheet with brown paper and drop mix by rounded teaspoonfuls.
    Bake in a slow oven at 300\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
