Fried Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    onions (as many as desired)
    dish of milk
    salt and pepper
    shortening
Preparation
    Slice as many onions as desired for a meal in a dish of milk. Separate rings and drain for 1/2 hour.
    Lay on waxed paper, season with salt and pepper and cover with shortening.
    Fry as you would potatoes, watching to prevent burning.
    Turn carefully.
