Cake Dessert - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 egg yolks
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. lemon juice
1 envelope Knox gelatine, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
6 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
1 large angel food cake
whipped cream
sliced almonds
Preparation

Beat egg yolks slightly in top of double boiler.
Stir in 3/4 cup sugar.
Slowly add lemon juice.
Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add gelatine, dissolved in water, mix well and cook slightly.
In separate bowl, beat egg whites until peaked; gradually add 3/4 cup sugar. Beat well by hand; fold into custard.
