Favorite Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. dry kidney beans
    2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans tomatoes
    1 1/2 lb. coarsely ground chuck, browned and drained
    1 small onion
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    2 to 3 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Boil beans in triple their water for 10 minutes.
    Let simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours.
    Put all ingredients in slow cooker.
    Stir to combine.
    Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours (high for 3 to 4 hours).
