Spanish Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. Crisco
4 eggs (save 2 whites for icing)
1 c. sour milk
1 level tsp. soda
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. flour, sifted twice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening together, then add the whole eggs and two egg yolks.
Add sour milk alternately with the flour. Dissolve the soda in a little of the sour milk.
Sift baking powder with flour.
