Linda'S Chicken Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 chicken breast halves
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium carrot
    1 small onion
    5 mushrooms
    4 c. water
    1/2 c. June peas
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    pastry for double crust (9-inch) pie
Preparation
    Cook chicken in 4 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Bring to a boil and simmer 45 minutes.
    Drain 2 cups of broth.
    Chop chicken into small pieces.
    Cook carrot and onion in broth; add mushrooms and peas.
    Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons water. Add to vegetables, stirring constantly.
    Cook over medium heat; stir until bubbly.
    Add chicken, 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper.
