Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. butter
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    3 oz. unsweetened chocolate
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt and baking soda.
    Cream butter until light and fluffy.
    Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating batter hard after each addition.
    Melt the chocolate and add to the batter.
    Add the flour and the buttermilk, alternating in thirds and stirring only slightly.
    Add vanilla and boiling water.
    Grease three 9-inch cake pans and dust with flour.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Turn cakes upside-down on rack to cool.
