Layered Bean Dip - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (16 oz.) cans refried beans
1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
3/4 c. water
1 1/2 c. shredded lettuce
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (16 oz.) jar salsa or picante sauce
Preparation

Spread refried beans in casserole dish or platter.
Brown ground beef and drain.
Add taco seasoning mix and water.
Cook and stir on medium heat, 10 to 15 minutes.
Spread over refried beans. Arrange layers of lettuce, salsa and cheese on top of meat. Garnish with desired toppings: sour cream, guacamole, black olive slices and jalapeno slices. Serve with tortilla chips.
Makes 14 to 16 appetizer servings.
