Pear Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck pears
    4 c. sugar
    5 c. vinegar
    6 large onions
    6 red bell peppers
    2 green bell peppers
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. pickling spices, tied in a bag
Preparation
    Run all through a food chopper.
    Have sweetened vinegar boiling hot when fruit is added.
    Cook 40 minutes.
    Place in sterilized jars and seal.
    Hot pepper may be used if hot relish is liked.
