Baptist Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 stick oleo
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
Preparation

Cream oleo and shortening with sugar.
Add 1 egg at a time, beating well with each addition.
Sift flour.
Add baking powder and sift again.
Add milk and flour alternately to mixture, blending well.
Add vanilla.
Pour into greased and floured tube pan or 2 loaf pans.
Put into cold oven.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour 15 minutes.
