Jumbo Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. water
2 c. raisins
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Add the water to the raisins; bring to boil for 3 minutes. Let cool.
Cream the shortening and sugar.
Add the eggs; beat well.
Add the vanilla and cooled raisins with juice.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture and blend.
Add the chopped nuts. Drop by spoons onto cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
