Red-Stewed Beef(Also Good For Venison) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. beef or venison roast
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. sherry
    4 slices fresh ginger
    3 scallions
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. anise seed
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cook in crock-pot on low for 10 hours or in oven at 325\u00b0 for 4 hours.
    Serve with sauce.
