Chili-Cheese Bites - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. fine saltine cracker crumbs
    6 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. taco seasoning
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1/4 tsp. granulated garlic
    3 eggs
    1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
    2 Tbsp. very finely chopped onion
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Bring cheeses to room temperature. Combine crumbs and margarine in an 8-inch square pan.
    Press onto the bottom and up the sides of the pan, forming a crust.
    Bake for 10 minutes and set aside.
    Reduce oven heat to 250\u00b0.
    In a large mixing bowl, blend cheeses at medium speed.
    Add cayenne and garlic.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Fold in chilies and onion.
    Pour into prepared crust and bake 1 hour until set.
    Cool and cut into 1-inch squares.
    Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled.
    Makes 64 bite sized appetizers.
