Chocolate Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) pie crust
    1/3 c. butter
    1/3 c. cocoa
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    3/4 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
    1 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Prepare pastry shell; set aside.
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    In a medium saucepan, low heat, melt butter.
    Add cocoa and stir until smooth.
    Remove from heat; cool.
    Stir in sugar, salt, slightly beaten eggs and corn syrup.
    Blend well.
    Stir in chopped nuts if desired and pour all into pie crust.
    Place pecan halves on top. Bake 40 minutes.
    Let cool and cover for 8 hours before serving.
