Pecan Turtles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. light brown sugar (packed)
2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c. light corn syrup
dash of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. pecan halves or pieces
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted
Preparation

Melt butter in heavy saucepan.
Stir in sugar, condensed milk, corn syrup and salt.
Bring to a boil, stirring.
Reduce heat to very low.
Cook, stirring almost constantly, for 25 to 30 minutes or until candy thermometer registers 245\u00b0 or a small amount of mixture dropped in very cold water forms a firm ball.
Take care to prevent sticking.
