Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. self-rising flour
4 Tbsp. sugar
4 oz. margarine
2 eggs, beaten
milk to mix
Preparation

Rub margarine into flour.
Mix in sugar.
Put beaten eggs into milk; mix all together.
Knead slightly; roll out about 3/4 inch thick.
Cut into rounds.
Place on baking sheet; well apart.
Brush tops with a little beaten egg.
Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for about 5 to 10 minutes or until when tapped they sound hollow.
If desired, before baking, add currants, raisins, cherries or any dried fruit. Serve warm and covered in butter and jam or just plain.
