German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. potatoes
1/2 lb. bacon
1/2 c. sugar (may substitute Equal)
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1/4 c. pimentos (optional)
2 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
1/2 c. vinegar
1 medium chopped onion
1/2 to 1 c. chopped celery
Preparation

Wash and cook potatoes in water until tender.
Drain, cool and cube.
In heavy saucepan, brown diced bacon.
Add vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper.
Simmer on medium heat.
Set aside.
In roaster, add cubed potatoes, celery, onion, green pepper, pimentos, salt and pepper.
Pour bacon mixture over potatoes and bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until heated thoroughly.
