Kahlua - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 oz. instant coffee
4 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 vanilla bean
1 fifth vodka
Preparation

Use a 1/2-gallon dark bottle.
In a 4-quart saucepan, mix coffee, sugar and water.
Bring to a boil.
Take pan off burner and let stand 2 to 3 minutes.
Add vodka slowly.
Score vanilla bean in several places and put in bottle.
Add liquid and put in a dark place.
Shake at least once a week for six weeks.
The longer it sets, the better.
