Carmelitas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. Quaker Quick oats
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco, melted
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. caramel topping
1/4 c. flour
Preparation

Combine first 7 ingredients.
Reserve 1 cup.
Press remaining mixture onto bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown.
Cool 10 minutes.
Top with nuts and chocolate pieces.
Mix caramel topping and 1/4 cup flour until smooth.
Drizzle over chocolate pieces to within 1/4-inch of edges.
Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely.
