Strawberry Charlotte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 envelopes plain gelatine (Knox)
    3/4 c. sugar, divided
    4 eggs, separated
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    lemon rind (optional)
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. whipping cream (before whipping; 1 additional c. for top, if desired)
    2 (10 oz.) boxes frozen strawberries
    ladyfingers (if desired)
Preparation
    Put the gelatine, 1/4 cup of the sugar and salt in the top of a double boiler.
    (Add the following mixture to the double boiler, mix in a separate bowl.)
    Beat egg yolks slightly and add water and 1 box of the strawberries.
    Put over boiling water and cook, stirring constantly, until the gelatine is dissolved and the strawberries are melted.
