Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. white corn meal
1/2 c. canned corn
1/2 c. onion, diced
1 egg
3/4 c. beer
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.
Add corn meal, corn, diced onion, egg and beer.
Beat in oil.
Let set 5 minutes.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into 350\u00b0 fat until brown.
Makes 42 small puppies.
