Brown Sugar Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. lard or Crisco
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 1/2 to 7 c. flour
Preparation
    Melt lard and butter in small pan.
    Pour into large bowl; add sugars, baking powder, salt and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Blend in eggs and milk.
    Stir in flour a little at a time until stiff enough to roll out.
    Roll 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick and cut into desired shapes. Place 1/2-inch apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Cool and decorate with colored icing.
    Makes about 6 dozen.
