Meat-Za Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 Tbsp. chopped onion
1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1/3 c. catsup or tomato paste
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained and chopped
4 slices American cheese, cut in strips
1/2 tsp. oregano, crumbled
2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Place beef, salt, garlic salt, onion and bread crumbs in a 9-inch pan.
Add evaporated milk and mix together with a fork. Spread mixture evenly over the bottom of pan, raising a rim about a half-inch high around edge.
Spread catsup or tomato paste over meat to the rim.
Arrange drained mushrooms on catsup.
Place cheese strips in crisscross pattern over top.
Sprinkle with oregano.
Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese.
Bake in a preheated oven at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
Cut in wedges.
