Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. skim milk
    1 (12 oz.) can condensed milk
    1 (12 oz.) can Carnation evaporated milk
    1 c. sugar
    6 eggs (optional)
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1 tsp. pure vanilla (more, if desired)
Preparation
    Put skim milk in boiler.
    Add gelatin.
    Stir to dissolve.
    Add eggs that have been beaten and rest of ingredients.
    Cook long enough to cook eggs, if using them.
    Cool 8 to 12 hours, then freeze as usual.
