Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. butter
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Butter a loaf pan.
Bring 3/4 cup of water to a boil.
Mix it in with dates, sugar and butter in a large bowl.
Let cool to lukewarm.
Stir in the egg, baking soda, flour, salt and walnuts.
Please blend well.
Spoon into a loaf pan and bake 50 minutes.
Remove pan and cool slowly.
