Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 1/4 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 large pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Melt shortening and stir in brown sugar.
    Cool slightly.
    Add the eggs, beaten one at a time.
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt and add to egg mixture.
    Add chocolate chips and nuts.
    Pour into greased and wax paper lined pan, 10 x 1-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
