Chunk Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers
    7 Tbsp. salt
    1 qt. water
    1 qt. vinegar
    4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. curry powder
    1/4 tsp. ground mustard
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Cut cucumbers in chunks or slice.
    Soak in salt water 5 hours or overnight 7
    tablespoons
    salt to 2 1/2 quarts water. Covers about same
    amount
    as
    vinegar
    mixture.
    Boil
    water, vinegar, sugar and
    spices.
    After
    liquid
    boils, add drained pickles and heat.
    Do not boil.
    Seal in hot jars.
