Onion Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornmeal
    2 1/2 c. finely chopped onions
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    cooking oil for frying
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
    Stir in milk. Add a little more if needed to make a thick batter.
    Mix in onions.
    Heat oil to 375\u00b0.
    Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into hot oil and fry to a golden brown.
    Turn and brown other side.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serve warm.
