Baked Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew beef
    1 c. sliced onion
    1 c. sliced potatoes
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 small can mushrooms
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    5 Tbsp. cornstarch or tapioca
    1 (12 oz.) can V-8 juice
    1 (12 oz.) can tomato juice
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in roaster with lid.
    Bake in 250\u00b0 oven for 4 hours.
    Gravy will be thick and brown when done.
    Can be cooked in crock-pot all day.
    Serves 6.
