Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
2/3 c. water
4 eggs
3 1/3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease bottoms only of 2 loaf pans.
Mix sugar and shortening in 2 1/2-quart bowl.
Stir in pumpkin, water and eggs.
Mix together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and baking powder.
Stir into wet ingredients.
Pour into pans evenly.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 70 minutes.
Loosen sides of loaves after five minutes, then remove from pans.
