Old Fashion Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt (if using plain flour)

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening together; add eggs.
Beat until creamy.
Add 2 cups flour and milk to mixture; beat well.
Add flour and beat.
Roll to 1/4-inch thickness, then bake on cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 36 cookies.
