Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 box pitted dates, chopped
1 c. hot water
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 rounded Tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
pinch of salt
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Good for holidays and to bake in small tins to share with friends.
