Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
chopped onion to taste
1 egg
3/4 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix all ingredients, drop by spoonful (depending on size you want) into hot oil.
Makes 12 large hush puppies.
