Pie Apple Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. oil
    1 egg
    1 can apple pie filling
    1/4 c. canola oil
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 egg
    3/4 c. nonfat, plain yogurt
    1 2/3 c. whole wheat flour, very finely ground
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large mixer bowl, beat oil, molasses and egg together well.
    Add yogurt and mix well.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add all at once to wet ingredients. Mix lightly; extra beating will toughen the cake.
    Turn batter into a nonstick 9-inch square pan.
    Bake 25 minutes or until center of cake springs back when touched lightly with fingertip. Cool briefly in pan on rack.
    Serve warm with Lemon Syrup.
