Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 T. molasses
1 egg
1 T. shortening
2 3/4 c. flour
1/4 t. salt
2 t. baking soda
Preparation
-
Simmer raisins in water for 2 minutes. Cool. Blend sugar, egg, molasses and shortening. Add raisin mixture. Stir in flour, salt and soda.
