Ingredients

8 eggs, separated
2 c. sugar
1 pt. whipping cream
2 Tbsp. vanilla
dash of salt
2 1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Beat egg yolks until frothy. Gradually add sugar, beating until thick and lemon colored. Add whipping cream, vanilla, flour and cream of tartar to egg yolk mixture. Combine egg whites and salt; beat until stiff peaks form. Fold egg white mixture into egg yolks mixture; pour into 1-gallon freezer. Add enough milk to fill can.
