Midwestern Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 cans chicken broth
1 Tbsp. margarine
1 large onion, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1/4 tsp. thyme
3 potatoes, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. margarine
1/4 c. flour
2 c. half and half or 2% milk
2 c. sharp cheese
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 small can corn
Preparation

Melt margarine and saute onion, celery and thyme until soft. Add potatoes, carrots, salt and pepper.
Cover with chicken broth and cook until vegetables are tender.
Add green pepper and corn; set aside.
