Ingredients

2 sticks butter or oleo
2 c. sugar
2 eggs (save 1 white separately)
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. almond extract
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. coconut
slivered almonds
Preparation

Cream butter or oleo, add all other ingredients except almonds and reserved egg white. Spread into a greased sheet cake pan. Sprinkle slivered almonds on top. Beat reserved egg white and spread over top. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done.
