Aunt Terry'S Cherry Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 bottle cherries, chopped (with juice)
    3/4 c. coconut
    1/2 c. flour
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients and pat into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Mix remaining ingredients and spread on cooled pastry.
    Bake for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Frost with powdered sugar frosting and drop of red food coloring.
