Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 9 qt. popcorn, popped
    1 c. margarine
    1/2 c. white syrup
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil all ingredients (except popcorn and soda) for 5 minutes. Mix well.
    Stir occasionally.
    Remove from heat and add soda. Stir in quickly.
    Pour over popcorn, mixing well.
    Place on large pan in single layer.
    Place in 250\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    Stir 3 to 4 times.
    Store in sealed container.
    May add peanuts (optional).
