Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. milk
Preparation

Cream the shortening.
After shortening has been creamed, add your sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk.
In a separate bowl, mix all dry ingredients together.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the shortening mix.
If batter is still wet, gradually add more flour.
