Green Tomato Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck apples
    1 peck green tomatoes
    2 lb. raisins
    5 lb. sugar
    1/4 lb. chopped suet
    1 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. cloves
    2 Tbsp. allspice
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Chop tomatoes in colander.
    Pour boiling water; let drain. Food process apples on chop after peeled and cored.
    Cook 1 hour in enameled pan.
    Then hot seal in jars; 1 quart makes one 8-inch pie.
    Can also be used in cookies and fruit cake.
    A 70 year old goodie.
