Bobby Palmer'S Christening Cake - cooking recipe

1 box German chocolate cake mix with pudding
16 oz. caramels
1 can condensed milk
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Prepare cake mix according to directions.
Pour 1/2 of batter into a 13 x 9-inch pan and bake for 20 minutes.
While cake is baking, melt caramels and butter. Add milk.
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
Pour this mixture on top of cake that has baked.
Pour remaining batter on top of caramel mixture.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over this and bake for an additional 15 to 25 minutes.
