Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced okra
    2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes, drained
    3 c. water
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 lb. shrimp
    1 doz. shelled oysters
    1 tsp. file powder (optional)
    6 onions, chopped
    3 Tbsp. corn oil
    2 tsp. salt
    2 drops hot sauce
    1/4 c. rice
    1/2 lb. crabmeat
    2 Tbsp. parsley
Preparation
    In Dutch oven, saute garlic, onions and green pepper in oil. Add okra, tomatoes, water and salt;
    boil.
    Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Add shrimp to Dutch oven; stir.
    Return to a boil, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Add crabmeat, oysters and parsley to shrimp mixture.
    Simmer for 2 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Ladle gumbo into 8 individual bowls, stir gently to mix all ingredients.
    Serve with crackers.
