Basic Fritter Batter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 c. cold water
Preparation
    Sift flour
    and
    salt together into a medium bowl.
    Add the oil, egg and
    water or enough to make a thick batter.
    Dip vegetable of
    your\tchoice\tinto
    batter
    and
    deep
    fry until golden.
    If batter does not adhere to the vegetables, add 1 to 2 tablespoons
    water\tto batter.
    Use vegetables such as mushrooms, cauliflower, eggplant, zucchini.
    Yields 2 cups.
