Orange-Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oleo
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream oleo, sugar and eggs.
    Add orange rind and vanilla.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add to creamed mixture alternating with milk. Mix 1/2 cup flour with dates and pecans.
    Fold into cake mixture. Turn into greased tube pan (I use 2 loaf pans).
    Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
