Strawberry Fig Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. figs, peeled and mashed
    3 c. sugar
    2 3 oz. pkg. strawberry gelatin
Preparation
    Mix figs with sugar and gelatin in a large saucepan.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thick, then cook 20 to 30 minutes.
    Seal in hot jars and refrigerate.
